You’ve found the flat, signed the bail and survived the paperwork. Now it’s empty, and you need a screen, some sound, a washing machine and a plan. Here is how I’d approach it using what LG France is offering right now. Everything below comes from lg.com/fr.
1. A screen that doesn’t swallow your living room
French apartments are often compact, and a big TV on a unit can dominate everything. LG’s StanbyME range sits under “lifestyle TVs”: screens designed to blend into your décor, which the brand likens to a piece of art. The model to look at is the StanbyME 2 27LX6TDGA. Right now, LG’s store advertises an exclusive offer with a Folio Cover stand on the StanbyME 2. I could not see that offer on the product page itself, so check the conditions and the exact model before you order.
2. Sound: pick your personality 🔊
LG’s xboom speakers come in three flavours. Here is what the brand says about each:
My instinct: one speaker that does the job. The XBOOM 360 for the flat, the Go if you plan to take it to the park or on weekend trips, and the XL7S if your living room is the official after-party venue.
3. Gaming on the side? The 1,000 Hz monitor is up for pre-order 🎮
If your desk doubles as a gaming station, LG lists the UltraGear 25G590B for pre-order. LG presents it as the world’s first native 1,000 Hz Full HD gaming monitor (among consumer brands, per LG as of 19 May 2026). Announced specs: a 24.5-inch Full HD IPS panel, 0.5 ms GtG response time, MBR Pro, NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium compatibility, and a stand that takes up 49% less desk space than the 25G550B’s.
Before you dream of 1,000 frames per second:
- A high refresh rate only helps if your PC can keep up. LG itself says the benefits depend on the game’s frame rate and your setup.
- For relaxed play, LG notes that 144 Hz is a good balance for many gamers; the very high rates target competitive shooters.
- A “Gaming Week” promotion also mentions the game Crimson Desert included; the terms are marked with an asterisk on the site.
4. The practical stuff: appliances I’d shortlist 🏠
A flat is more than a TV and a speaker. These are the specific LG references I’d look at first, with the facts as listed on their product pages. Prices are loaded dynamically on LG’s site, so I haven’t quoted any: check the current price and any promotion on each page.

Small-print reminders:
- Measure the niche, the door and the stairwell before ordering a washer or fridge. LG gives 110 cm of depth with the F94V41WH’s door open at 90°.
- The portable air conditioner needs somewhere to send its exhaust hose (1.5 m, with a window seal kit included). Check what your lease allows.
- If you rent, ask your landlord whether appliances are included before buying a washer.
5. Ways to pay less 💸
- 5% welcome offer. Create an LG account: 5% off your first order, valid for 3 months, excluding flash sales.
- Build your own bundle. Up to 20% off when you combine several purchases, handy for a washer and a screen in one go.
- Member Days. Up to 30% off and weekend flash sales, according to LG.
- Streaming Week. It runs from 14 September to 18 October 2026, so only a few days are left.
- Pay in 3 or 4 instalments, interest-free. Via Alma, from €100 (3 payments) or €300 (4 payments) up to €6,000. LG states it is for adults with a French bank card, so check this before counting on it if you still bank abroad. It remains a commitment: work out your repayments first.
A few practical notes for expats 🇫🇷
- The store is in French. Your browser’s translate button will do the job, but read the offer conditions carefully (conditions de l’offre) before you order.
- Delivery is within France. Have the address and a contact number ready, and check the delivery options at checkout.
- Know your rights as a buyer. Online purchases in the EU generally come with a withdrawal period and a legal guarantee, but the details depend on the product and the seller’s terms, so read LG’s conditions on the order page.
- Cashback offers have paperwork. If you go for a TV with a refund, keep your invoice and follow the claim steps on the offer page.
My suggested buying order
- The essentials first: the washing machine (F94V41WH) or the washer-dryer (F164HP2WST) if the flat has none.
- A speaker, so the flat finally has an atmosphere.
- The screen (StanbyME 2 or monitor), depending on whether you mostly watch or play.
- The rest (portable air conditioner, vacuum, fridge) when the deals come around again. Promotions rotate, so there is no need to buy everything at once.
